Manitowoc, WI- Based on customer feedback, we are now offering our400PL Waterbreaker with our Protective Ring. Our protective ring has been developed over a number of years for use on the 1000PL Series to protect the stainless steel disk. The final iteration of this ring combines an EPDM rubber bumper with a plastic reinforcement ring that is welded to the Waterbreaker. This version of the ring protects the Waterbreaker from both side and frontal impact due to the raised ridge. You can see videos of our testing equipment used in impact testing here. The New 72646 version of the 400PL returns to the traditional blue, but with the black protective ring. During our surveying, some customers did not want the extra expense of this ring. We are still offering our standard, 400PL in black.
